Hearts snap up St Mirren sport scientist Junior Mendes as Jim Goodwin gutted to lose 'invaluable' backroom member

Hearts St Mirren Jim Goodwin Buddies Tynecastle

St Mirren's lead sport scientist Junior Mendes has worked his last shift for the Paisley club as he prepares to switch to Premiership rivals Hearts.

The former Saints striker, who had two spells with the club as a player, has been with the club's backroom staff since November 2018.

Now he is set to take on a new challenge at Tynecastle, with the Buddies Scottish Cup victory over Ayr United his last match working with St Mirren.
