Hearts new boy Kye Rowles tipped for huge future in game by Australia team-mate Bailey Wright

Kye Rowles has been tipped for a big future in the game by Australia team-mate Bailey Wright.

The news Hearts defender played a major role in the Socceroos' qualification for the World Cup after arriving in the Middle East uncapped.

He played in all three fixtures for Graham Arnold during the international break including the play-off wins over UAE and Peru.

Robbie Neilson snapped up the 23-year-old during the break and he will now pitch up at Hearts alongside Australia duo Nathaniel Atkinson and Cammy Devlin.

It's set to be a big season at Tynecastle with the capital club guaranteed a crack at European group stage football in either the Europa League or Uefa Conference League.

Speaking to the Daily Record, Wright said: "Kye, stepping in, making his debut the other day and playing in these games, it's a credit to him.

"He's taken it in his stride. His maturity, his quality, he's got a big future ahead of him and so does Nath.

"We've got a lot of good young players coming through.

"As a team we've got all them little ingredients, that togetherness, that's really galvanised us to make sure we get the best out of each other regardless of how many caps we've got, how many games we've played, what age we are.

"We don't care. We're there to do a job for ourselves, for each other and we can rely on one another and that goes a long way."
