Hearts were edged out 1-0 in a tight encounter with Rangers during their latest Premiership clash.
The Jambos offered some threat in behind but they were undone by a Malik Tillman effort later in the second half to ensure all three points stayed in Glasgow. It's a disappointing result for Robbie Neilson's side who had ambitions of hurting a Light Blues side who came into the game off the back of a calamitous 2-1 defeat to St Johnstone on Sunday.
But it wasn't to be as Rangers began to pile more pressure on and eventually got in front, which the Jambos never recovered from. Up next is a home match against Livingston before the Tynecastle side get a well-earned break amid the World Cup following a bruising schedule of games that has included Europa Conference League football. Here are three things we learned from Hearts ' defeat.

Kye's back
It's been a good week for centre-back Kye Rowles. After returning from his foot injury on Sunday against Motherwell, he was called up for Australia ahead of the World Cup.
He looked decent here alongside Toby Sibbick and his return to matches is a big boost for Hearts and Robbie Neilson.
Pacy threat
Where the away side looked most dangerous is with how fast winger Josh Ginnelly looked in behind.
That was their way to goal and it's perhaps an outlet for them to try and utilise more in future.
Bunched up
It was a runaway third place finish for Hearts this season but this time around it looks set to be so much closer.
From Aberdeen in third to St Mirren in eighth, there's currently two points between everyone in that area, with the boys in maroon occupying fifth ahead of fourth-placed Livingston coming to Gorgie this weekend.
