Hearts will continue with a B team in the Lowland League next season following Rangers' decision to withdraw, according to a report.
The Jambos are reportedly keen to continue with their development side's involvement as they feel they received good value for the young stars in the last 12 months, writes the Edinburgh Evening News.
Rangers had favoured the controversial Conference League plans, but Hearts want to keep their B team involved in regular competitive action, with more than 17 youngsters handed contract extensions. Hearts, Celtic and Rangers all entered B teams in the fifth tier of Scottish football last year, with the Tynecastle outfit starting out a year after their Glasgow counterparts.
