Sabri Guendouz has become Heart of Midlothian’s latest summer signing, joining from Belgian side Beerschot on a three-year deal for an undisclosed six-figure fee.
The 26-year-old French forward’s move remains subject to visa approval, international clearance and Scottish FA ratification, with Hearts understood to have paid upwards of £800,000 to secure his signature.

Guendouz, a product of Valenciennes’ academy, was identified through Jamestown Analytics as an undervalued attacking option following an impressive campaign in Belgium’s second tier.
A versatile presence across the frontline, he made 33 appearances for Beerschot last season, starting 20 matches and registering 10 combined goals and assists. His performances also saw him lead key creative metrics, including expected assists and successful dribbles, while drawing interest from clubs in the Netherlands.
Confirming the deal, Hearts said: “French forward Sabri Guendouz has become Heart of Midlothian’s sixth signing of the summer.
“An exciting, direct attacker, 26-year-old Sabri joins the Jambos from Belgian club Beerschot on a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee, subject to international clearance and Scottish FA approval.”

Detailing his development, the club added: “A product of French outfit Valenciennes’ youth system, Sabri cut his teeth in the Championnat National 3 before moving to Guingamp in 2020.
“Gaining professional experience in their B side, he was promoted to the first team and enjoyed a breakthrough campaign in 2024/25, helping them to the promotion play-offs and a Coupe de France quarter-final.”
Hearts also highlighted his impact in Belgium, stating: “Last season he made the move to Belgium where he became Beerschot’s creative outlet with 10 goal contributions, as well as leading the way in xAssists, xA per 90, most successful dribbles and most penalties won.”
Guendouz becomes the club’s sixth addition of the window, following the arrivals of Amadou Ba-Sy, Malachi Fagan-Walcott, Calvin Miller, Josh McPake and MJ Kamson-Kamara, with fellow Frenchman Tom Renaud also expected to be confirmed shortly.
He will link up with his new teammates in pre-season as Hearts prepare for their UEFA Champions League second qualifying round tie against Sturm Graz on July 21.
