Hearts have bolstered their academy ranks with the signing of Ryan Duncan from Rangers.
The attacking midfielder joins the Wee Jambos after coming through the ranks at St Johnstone and signing a deal with the Ibrox club last July. He spent last season turning out for the Light Blues' U18s and will now have a similar opportunity at Hearts. 16-year-old Duncan also has the potential of playing Lowland League football for Steven Naismith's youngsters.
Academy director Frankie McAvoy said of the Tynecastle youth recruit: “Ryan’s a good young player. We've watched him, cast our eye over him and been impressed. He’s a young, dynamic central midfielder who we’re delighted to add as part of the U18s squad going forward. He’s got an opportunity to come to a wonderful club in Hearts and I’m hopeful that he does well and progresses, which is the main point in signing him.”

Naismith's Wee Jambos are in the fifth tier for the first time this season to build senior experience ahead of a potential maroon breakthrough.
They have played three games so far, sitting on three points after one win from their opening trio of games. After a 6-0 victory over Berwick Rangers, Hearts have lost 1-0 and 4-1 to Spartans and East Kilbride.
