Hearts and Hibs are still on the lookout for new signings as the transfer window approaches the finishing line.
The summer signing sprees across the Premiership will end later tonight and Hibs have been one of the nation's busiest clubs in the wake of Lee Johnson's appointment as boss. They had looked to sign Swindon Town forward Harry McKirdy but despite the attacker reportedly being in Edinburgh over the move, it's been widely claimed that has now collapsed.
It's a blow for the Hibees who have been linked with various players today. Hearts meanwhile also need fresh faces to help them cope with the rigours of Europa Conference League group stage football, with one striker target reported as being Christian Ramirez of Aberdeen. His minutes this season have been limited at Pittodrie and now he has spoken out in the wake of fresh reports he could be leaving after one season.

He said on a now deleted Twitter post: "Make it make sense please. There are two sides to every story, that’s all for now."
Manager Jim Goodwin seemed to shut down talk of the move earlier on: "I can’t see us loaning a player to one of our rivals. And as of this moment in time I’m not aware that Hearts have even made contact.”
Meanwhile, both clubs were linked with a late swoop for Burton Albion forward Louis Moult but Edinburgh Live Sport understands that's a non-starter.
