Hamilton Accies are set to play a role in the first live VAR trials to take place in Scotland.
On Saturday the New Douglas Park side's under-14s will take on Hearts at their age group in Edinburgh's Oriam, where the video assistant referee system is set to be used in a live match in Scotland for the first time.
The Scottish FA are stepping up their training of officials ahead of potentially implementing the system in the Scottish Premiership next season.
According to reports, category one and two officials will be taking charge of "boys under 13-16 fixtures and girls under 16s-19s to build up their skills on VAR" at Scotland's National Sports Performance Centre.
Category One official Kevin Clancy will take charge of Hamilton's clash in the capital with Alan Mulvanny and John McCrossan assisting, along with fourth official Matthew MacDermid.
Top flight clubs first met in October last year with the SFA to discuss VAR in Scottish football and Ian Maxwell, Scottish FA Chief Executive, said at the time: "The Scottish FA remains fully supportive of its implementation for the benefit of the image and status of our domestic game, but also to provide support to our match officials on the domestic, European and international stages.”
It has since transpired that the cost to introduce the technology could cost clubs as much as £120,000 per season.
