A mum who lost her daughter after contracting covid has given birth to a baby girl.
Megan Eatock, 25, began suffering with what she thought were phantom labour pains when she was 31-weeks pregnant with her first child in October last year. However, when Megan started to bleed, she was rushed to hospital where her baby, Cassidy Rae, was delivered stillborn.
Megan and her partner, Jack, were able to spend almost a week with their daughter in the bereavement suite at Royal Preston Hospital before having to go home. A year on, on October 4, the couple welcomed baby Ophelia Cassidy, but have called for improvements on the "postcode lottery" of bereavment services across the coutry.
