The heartbroken family of a Scots dad who vanished eight months ago have said they are desperate for answers that will bring him home.
Finn Creaney was reported missing on March 25 after being dropped off at Loch Naver, on the B873 public road in Sutherland, around 2.15pm.
The 32-year-old had planned to start his walking route around the Loch and south to Golspie but has not been seen since. Dad-of-one Finn only had a water bottle, knife and blanket poncho with him.
His heartbroken family are now desperate for answers over his disappearance and say he was of sound mind and the happiest he had ever been. In a post on the Search for Finn Creaney Facebook page, they said: "We want to be reunited with Finn as soon as possible!!
"It's been 8 months tomorrow, since Finn was last seen and there is still NO TRACE! People DON'T Just disappear. Finn was of sound mind and the happiest he's been when last seen so this disappearance is unexplainable and we want answers."
They added: "Thank you! We appreciate all shares and contributions. We just want our beautiful Finn home!"
The keen outdoorsman and bushcrafter is described as being 5ft 11in tall, of slim build, with light complexion and freckles on his arms and nose. He has long brown hair down to his lower back and a full brown/ginger beard.
When Finn was last seen he was wearing brown walking boots and a long brown leather jacket which was slightly aged and is a replica of Aragorns ranger outfit from Lord of the Rings. Finn also had a green wool poncho and green Berghaus rucksack with him.
Police have carried out extensive searches to trace Finn land, sea and air, as well as deploying rescue dogs. Anyone who may have seen Finn or has information on his whereabouts is urged to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting reference number 0912 of March 28.
Finn's family remain hopeful that he will be found and are continuing the search with a positive attitude. They have also asked anyone with information to contact the Facebook page Search for Finn Creaney.
