People online have been left heartbroken after a dog got dressed up to meet his new family - only for his potential new owners not to turn up to take him home.
The DSPCA (Dublin Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) shared a picture of the adorable 12-year-old Border Collie named Jordan on Twitter, which showed him wearing a collar that had the front section of a tuxedo attached to it, and said he had been waiting 500 days to find his forever home.
And alongside the image, which has gone viral, the DSPCA urged people not to get animals' "hopes up" as they explained that Jordan had been waiting for his new family to come and pick him up, but they never showed.
