A witness to the tragic Easter Monday collision that resulted in young Lucas Joyce and Kirsty Bohan losing their lives, has opened up on the horrific moment they were unable to wake the two teens.
The two Galway teenagers, Lucas and Kirsty, both 14, died while two other teenagers, also aged between 13 and 14 years old - were seriously injured after their car collided with a tree near Headford.
Another teenage girl, who is believed to have been in the back seat alongside Kirsty, is currently still fighting for her life after being transferred to Beaumont Hospital.

Now one of the first people to discover the devastating tragedy has recalled the moment of not being able to wake Lucas and Kirsty, Galway Beo reports.
The woman, who has not been named, raised the alarm immediately after the crash, just before 6am. Emergency services then immediately rushed to the scene on the L6127 at Glennagarraun, Ballyfruit.
Lucas tragically was pronounced dead at the scene, the other three occupants however were taken to University Hospital Galway - where Kirsty was later pronounced dead.
In a statement on Monday following the tragedy Headford councillor Andrew Reddington said: "We are all thinking of the two families who have lost their beloved children. A dark cloud has descended on the entire community.
"Everyone is thinking of the families of the young people who died this morning and we are praying for those who are in the hospital. We will come together as a community to support the families, but we ask that everyone respect the families who are grieving the loss of their children."
A letter addressed to parents sent from Presentation College Headford which both Lucas and Kirsty attended read: "The school has experienced the sudden and tragic deaths of two treasured members of our PCH community. We are deeply saddened by these deaths. Our thoughts are with the families and friends of these students.”
