A young boy battling a rare and aggressive cancer has been told by doctors nothing more can be done to save him.
Dylan Reid, 14, was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia - a type of blood cancer that starts from white blood cells in the bone marrow - after coming out in a dark purple rash weeks in November 2020.
The teen, who is originally from Longbenton, had surgery to remove a tumour and underwent three intense rounds of chemotherapy to kill the cancerous cells affecting his blood.

Dylan, who moved to Liverpool with his mum Kelly Ann Moor just weeks before his diagnosis, then underwent a bone marrow transplant with the hope it would improve his condition.
Tragically his family have been told there is nothing more they can do to treat the teen - and he has just days to live with the cancer spreading to 90% of his body.
Kelly Ann, 37, said: "The doctors called us over from the Ronald McDonald House.
"They pulled us into a room with about nine nurses and told us there was nothing else they could do.
"There's no more treatment available. He's been through everything. He's not strong enough to fight his cancer any more."
Despite his devastating prognosis, Kelly Ann said Dylan remains cheerful - and has made only one humble request as the family begins to work on his bucket list.
Kelly Ann hopes they can return to Tyneside so he can pass there.
She added: He wants to be around his family and his old friends. We don't know how long he has left. We don't know how quickly it will spread.
"The past three years have been absolutely miserable for Dylan. He's just not himself any more. He can't walk any more. It's heart-breaking."
The family has now set on a £1,000 fundraiser in the hope of treating Dylan - who is a huge fan of Marvel movies and rapper Nicki Minaj - to as many happy memories as possible before his condition deteriorates further.
Kelly Ann said: "We want to give him whatever he wants, just to make him comfortable, and do whatever he wants to do. He's always wanted to go to the Maldives, but that's not possible now. We can't go there.
"But we took him to Porthmadog (North Wales) and he loved it, and has always wanted to go back, and he absolutely loves Berwick (Northumberland)."
One of Dylan's wishes was to play bingo and that came true over the weekend when Bongo's Bingo descended on his hospital room to play with friends and family.
His aunt, Danielle Moore, 32, was there and said it had been a great success, albeit in tragic circumstances.
She added: "The consultant at one hospital said they thought he had around one year but he was then transferred to another hospital and his mum was told it would be weeks. The cancer is spreading so quickly now that we were told it could be days now. It is 90% of Dylan's body now.
"We had a little party and we played bingo and were singing and clapping. He was so happy and smiling all the time, it is the happiest I have seen him."
An all-night party at the Cosmic Ballroom on Stowell Street, Newcastle, on March 25 has been organised by his family to help boost the campaign.
All money raised will help provide anything Dylan wishes while he continues to fight and help alleviate some financial pressure on his family.
Danielle, from Longbenton, said: "It has been a heart-breaking time for the family. We want to create as many memories as we can with Dylan."
