Customers have shared their sadness after the shock closure of a beloved Leeds steakhouse.
Chophaus, based in Princes Avenue, Roundhay, Oakwood, confirmed on Thursday, March 2 it will be "closed until further notice". Bosses confirmed the news on their social media pages, and deactivated their website.
Rumours circulated when the business closed for refurbishment earlier this year. Customers wondered if the doors to the eatery would ever open again. Co-owner Dale Wynter also ran The Beehive pub in Thorner, which closed in 2022.

Announcing the news on social media, a spokesperson for Chophaus said: "We are now closed until further notice. Sorry for the inconvenience."
Becci Cawthorne said: "Aw no way. Just told someone about going here the other day." "Oh no," Sarah Gamble added.
Another added: "Looks like I will have to pick a different venue for my birthday."
