It's the Canberra event with boundless heart and emotion. In 1976, to mark the newspaper's 50th anniversary, The Canberra Times Fun Run was born.
Ever since, it's been a beloved feature of the calendar for a city that loves the community of exercise.
The emotions on display at the end of the event have been captured by our photographers for decades. In many cases, the inspiration for people to run and raise money is deeply personal.
But while there's always been a competitive spirit on display, the "fun" has never been lost from the event.
Today we enjoy the nostalgia of one of Canberra's greatest and longest-running community events.
