It's been 20 years since pop band Hear'Say officially split and the stars of the band went their separate ways.
Made up of Noel Sullivan, Suzanne Shaw, Myleene Klass, Kym Marsh and Danny Foster, the band formed on hit ITV show Popstars in 2000 after judges Nigel Lythgoe and Nicki Chapman put them together. The band were most well-known for their hugely successful debut single, Pure and Simple, in 2001.
Hear'Say scored another number one single and had a sell-out tour in their time together, but after just 18 months, Kym quit the band. Fans will remember Johnny Shentall briefly joining the band after winning the audition process to replace Kym, but Hear'Say split up later that year in 2002.

Since leaving the band, all members have gone on to pursue solo endeavours. And they've all made names for themselves in the world of music, theatre, acting and reality TV.
From glittering showbiz success to personal tragedy, a lot has happened since the band first shot to fame 22 years ago. Here, we take a brief look back at the Hear'Say bandmates and what they did next.
Noel Sullivan
When he applied for Popstars, Noel Sullivan, from Cardiff, was working as a waiter. After impressing judges Nigel Lythgoe and Nicki Chapman and joining the band, Noel went on to have a shining career on stage.
Starring in Fame and as Danny in Grease on the West End, as well as sharing the role of Tick/Mitzi with Jason Donovan in Priscilla, Queen of the Desert. Noel also made a cameo in Gavin and Stacey and appeared in BBC's Ordinary Lies and the critically acclaimed Years And Years.

In more recent years, Noel teamed up with former bandmate Danny for drag act Do Blonde Tondres. In an interview on This Morning in 2019, Noel also revealed he gained two stone to play Jack Black’s role in the School Of Rock musical.
Noel announced he got hitched in 2017 to his husband James. The pair live in France.
Suzanne Shaw
Suzanne had just turned 18 when she auditioned for Popstars and despite being 21 when Hear'Say split, this didn't stop her from making a name for herself in the world of theatre. Like Noel, Suzanne went on to have a career in the West End, appearing in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and The Rocky Horror Show.
Years later, she joined the cast of The Bill in 2007 and played the role of Eve Birch in Emmerdale. Many will remember the star also won Dancing On Ice in 2008 with professional skater Matt Evers and competed in the All Stars series in 2014.

In her personal life, Suzanne dated Darren Day and together they have a son. After both participating in Britain’s Worst Celebrity Driver, Suzanne married DJ Jason King but the pair went their separate ways in 2012.
Suzanne welcomed a son with businessman fiancé Sam Greenfield in 2015. More recently, the former Hear'Say bandmate turned her talents to pantomime.
Myleene Klass
Since the band split, trained pianist Myleene has gone on to have a glowing career in music and on television. After Hear'Say, Myleene signed a deal with Universal Classics and Jazz, releasing number one classical music albums.
But many will remember the star's time on I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here and Myleene wearing her famous white bikini in 2006. In later years, Myleene went on to have a deal with Marks & Spencer fashion and host The One Show, Popstar to Operastar and 10 Years Younger.
In her personal life, Myleene was married to former bodyguard Graham Quinn and together they had two daughters. The Norfolk-born star has since found love again with PR man Simon Motson and together they have a son, but last year Myleene revealed she had suffered four miscarriages in her documentary Myleene Klass: Miscarriage & Me.
A presenter on Smooth Radio, Myleene also starred in 2021’s Dancing on Ice, but was the first to leave the competition. She also has The Myleene Klass Edit with Next fashion
Kym Marsh
Kym was the first to leave Hear’Say in 2002 and released her first solo album, Standing Tall, in 2003. But Kym later became a regular panellist on Loose Women before turning her hand to acting, landing the role of Michelle Connor on Coronation Street in 2006.
In 2007, she won Best Newcomer at the British Soap Awards and Most Popular Newcomer at the National Television Awards. Kym remained on the cobbles for 13 years before going on to pursue other projects.
Kym has a son and a daughter with Dave Cunliffe and went on to marry EastEnders star Jack Ryder in 2002, but they split in 2008. Kym married Hollyoaks star Jamie Lomas that year, but tragically, their son Archie was born 18 weeks early in 2009 and died shortly after birth.
Kym, 46, is married to soldier boyfriend Scott Ratcliff and is a nan-of-two. Now the host of BBC lifestyle programme Morning Live, alongside Gethin Jones, this year, Kym also announced she would star in the BBC revival of Waterloo Road and is currently a contestant on this year's series of Strictly Come Dancing, partnered with Graziano Di Prima.
Danny Foster
Danny, from London, had been a cleaner and trained as a youth worker when he auditioned for Popstars at the age of 17. When the band split, Danny kept a low profile took time out of the public eye.
He met wife Victoria Goddard in 2003 and appeared on a number of reality shows including Channel 4’s The Games and Channel 5’s Trust Me - I’m A Beauty Therapist. In 2013, he auditioned for The Voice but sadly didn't make it through.

The former bandmate later made a switch to soul music with his own group Danny Foster & The Big Soul Corporation and now tours the UK with the band. In 2016, the singer also had a brush with death, sharing a shocking video to social media of when the car he was travelling in burst into flames.
Posting snippets of his life with wife Victoria to social media, Danny has over 3,000 followers. Danny and Victoria are also founders of Daily Positive Actions, with Danny's own account bio saying that he meditates daily, practices self love and eats plants.
Johnny Shentall
Many Hear'Say fans will remember Johnny joining the band after winning the audition process to replace Kym Marsh. Prior to that, he was a member of British garage band Boom!.
But his time in Hear'Say was short lived as Johnny only released one single with the band who split up later that year in 2002. Johnny met and fell in love with Steps’ own Lisa Scott-Lee in 1999 when he successfully auditioned to be a backing dancer with the band and the couple are still together today.
The pair tied the knot in 2004 and also appeared on reality TV show CelebAir together in 2008 and The Weakest Link. Together, Lisa and Johnny have a son and a daughter.
Similarly to former band member Noel, the dancer has made his mark in musical theatre. He performed as Chuck Cranston in Footloose.
