A man 'tried to blame a child' after he violently assaulted a baby. Justin Dainty, now aged 25, admitted causing the child serious head and internal injuries in November 2019.
Dainty, formerly known as Connor Fraser, violently grabbed the child by its face, and also shook it by its legs, Nottinghamshire Police reports. He initially blamed another child for causing the injuries that had been caused as the result of accidents.
Extensive medical evidence, however, pointed to the assault being a deliberate act perpetrated by an adult. After almost three years of denials he finally admitted to what he had done and pleaded guilty to causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
