Geneva: The number of monkeypox cases reported globally dropped by 21 per cent in the last week, the World Health Organization (WHO) said.
While last week (August 15 to August 21) the number of cases reported globally declined by 21 per cent, new cases increased in the Americas with intense transmission, WHO Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus told journalists on Thursday.
