Health expert says NHS staff burnt out as Lanarkshire A&E stats show 40 per cent waiting more than four hours

More than 40 per cent of patients in Lanarkshire A&E departments are facing even longer waits for care.

Just 58.7 per cent of those attending A&E in Lanarkshire’s three hospitals for the week ending April 10 were seen within the four hour target.

At Wishaw General the figures were even lower with 56.9 per cent of patients being seen within four hours.
