Nottinghamshire health bosses are urging members of the public to get their Covid booster jab ahead of Christmas. The autumn booster is being offered to those most at risk.
People aged 50 and over, those with certain health conditions, carers, pregnant women and frontline health and care workers are able to get vaccinated. Health chiefs in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire want the public to get protected before the Christmas period - on the two-year anniversary of the life-saving vaccination programme launching.
The programme launched on December 8, 2020. Since then, nearly three million vaccinations have been administered in the city and county. Some 61 per cent of eligible people in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire have had the autumn booster already this year.
