Headteacher slammed for 'parading about in short dress' that would 'make a scarf' at inadequate school

A headteacher has been slammed for wearing "a short dress" at school. A councillor said she was ‘gobsmacked’ on a recent visit to Outwood Academy Ormesby in Middlesbrough.

Cllr Donna Jones, who represents Berwick Hills and Pallister ward, spotted the dress worn by head Toni Wilden while attending a meeting at the school. The politician was visiting the school after it was slapped with an inadequate Ofsted rating, Teeside Live has reported.

The academy was ordered to improve after inspectors found a “community of respect” had not been fostered with bullying, discriminatory language, and attendance issues all raised. A spokesperson for the school said they were pleased with the improvement that has taken place since the inspection.
