A headteacher has left his role after bringing in strict new rules which sparked a wave of protests amongst parents and students.
Under Rob Kelsall's leadership, metal gates were installed at The Discovery Academy in Bentilee, Stoke-on-Trent, and a 'reset room' for rule-breaking pupils was introduced.
Pupils and parents clashed with him over the new measures, as well as his "derogatory" remarks about false eyelashes - for which he later apologised.
