Most drivers will know the feeling of being dazzled by the headlights a car coming in the other direction.
But a new study by the RAC has shown that motorists are being blinded by the lights of others more often. And the cause is not always because the oncoming driver has forgotten to dip their beams.
The rise in the number of SUVs on the road with higher headlights, motorists failing to adjust their beams correctly and lax regulations on cheap replacement bulbs, all account for nearly nine in ten motorists reporting that they have been dazzled by other road users.
