Head of Perth and Kinross police force highlights rise in housebreakings and warns about break-ins at night

The local area commander for Perth and Kinross has highlighted a rise in housebreakings and warned about break-ins as nights become darker earlier.

Chief inspector Tom Leonard turned attention to a number of “crime prevention measures” and urged local residents to report any suspicious activity.

“Over the last few months police in Perth and Kinross have seen a rise in housebreakings,” CI Leonard explained.
