Travis Head hopes he won't be relied upon for his part-time offspin on the Sri Lanka tour, despite his heroics on Australia's previous visit.
Head was the surprise packet of Australia's 10-wicket defeat in the Galle series opener in 2022, taking 4-10 as the hosts collapsed for 113 in the second innings.
The South Australian had never taken a Test wicket, but finished the innings with better figures from his 2.5 overs than front-line tweakers Nathan Lyon (4-31) and Mitch Swepson (2-34).
