‘He sounds like Barry White’: Twitter reacts to Joe Biden’s very different voice due to cold

President Joe Biden sounded totally different during a press conference, prompting people online to react with both humor and concern.

While addressing the public this morning, Biden spoke in a noticeably lower register.

During the press conference, reporter Peter Doocy asked Biden if he was okay, citing that his voice sounded “a little different.” Biden replied that while he’s taken a Covid test every day and has been tested for all the strains, he contracted a cold from his one-year-old grandson. “

“I’m OK. I have a test every day to see, a Covid test, they check me for all the strains,” Biden said when asked about his new voice. “What I have is a one-and-a-half year-old grandson who had a cold who likes to kiss his pop.”

The reactions poured in immediately.

One user said Biden sounded “alarmingly” hoarse. Another said Biden sounded “very off.” This caused people to speculate whether or not the president had contracted Covid in replies to the tweets.

The amount of “bass” in Biden’s voice led someone to say he sounded like Barry White:
