Manchester City fans were left in awe of Raheem Sterling once again as he put his side in front at Norwich in spectacular fashion.
City had found it difficult to break the deadlock during the first half as they went in search of a win that would take them 12 points clear of Liverpool at the top of the Premier League.
A much-changed side found themselves being denied by the hosts’ defence and goalkeeper Angus Gunn at Carrow Road, while Norwich had fired one or two warning shots themselves, particularly after Grant Hanley’s header struck the post.
Thankfully for City though, Sterling was on hand to produce a moment of magic and ease the visitors’ early concerns.
The England international cut onto his right foot and curled a sumptuous effort in at the far post, leaving Gunn with no chance as he gave City the lead just after the half-hour mark.
And fans celebrated the goal with their familiar song for the 27-year-old.
City boss Pep Guardiola rang the changes ahead of the game, with five players dropping to the bench, including the likes of Kevin De Bruyne and Joao Cancelo.
The Catalan will no doubt have one eye on the Champions League last-16 encounter with Sporting Lisbon in midweek as City look to complete a historic treble this season.
