Manchester United fans have expressed relief for Bruno Fernandes after the midfielder opened the scoring against Brentford to end his goal drought, his 50th strike for the club.
The Portuguese playmaker rounded off a brilliant move, which involved a fine Anthony Elanga cross from the right-hand side. Fernandes fired home from six yards out to draw first blood in the final home game of the league season.
Fernandes' effort was his first goal United since the 4-2 win over Leeds in February. He had a golden opportunity to make it a half-century of goals against Arsenal last month but saw his spot-kick hit the post at the Emirates Stadium.

But his long wait for a goal came to an end and sees him move into an esteemed list of United legends. Here's how fans reacted on Twitter.
As you can see the overriding sense of emotion was relief for the 27-year-old. In the context of the league table, a win would send United six points clear of West Ham - after their defeat to Arsenal - and to within three points of Tottenham, having played two games more than Antonio Conte's side.
