Manchester United made the dream start to the second half of tonight's Premier League clash with Liverpool, doubling their advantage through Marcus Rashford's first goal since January.
After leading by a goal to nil at half-time after Jadon Sancho's cool finish, United doubled their tally just eight minutes after the restart. Rashford latched onto substitute Anthony Martial's pass, beat the offside trap and finished with aplomb past Alisson.
The England international, who was deployed through the middle of the front-three by Erik ten Hag, was too quick for the Liverpool defence to handle and he made no mistake to open his account for the campaign. VAR did have a quick look at the goal to see whether Rashford had made his run too early, but that did not stop the roof coming off Old Trafford as Rashford wheeled away to celebrate a rare goal.

And while the fans inside the stadium celebrated by generating noise levels that had not been heard in months, United supporters watching at home on TV wasted no time in reacting to the Reds' second goal. Below, MEN Sport has taken a close look at what they had to say:
Although Rashford will take much of the credit for the goal, the vision and pass from Martial were superb. The Frenchman managed to spring away from Virgil van Dijk and Jordan Henderson with ease to set his teammate free.
