KOCHI: A high court bench of Justice Gopinath P on Thursday said it will hear ex-MLA PC George’s bail pleas in the hate speech cases against him on Friday and directed prosecution to get instructions on the matter.
The court is hearing George’s anticipatory bail plea related to an alleged hate speech at a temple in Kochi and also a regular bail plea following cancellation of bail by a Thiruvananthapuram court for violating its bail conditions.
The judge asked the prosecution what it is trying to achieve by custodial interrogation since the speeches made by George have been recorded on camera. As the director general of prosecution submitted that time is required to get instructions, the court said it will hear the bail pleas at 1.45pm on Friday.
