HawkEye technology will be ditched for Sunday's All-Ireland football semi-final between Dublin and Kerry following controversy in Saturday's semi-final.
When the technology was called upon for a Shane Walsh '45 in the first half of Galway's showdown with Derry at Croke Park, it ruled the strike had gone wide of the posts.
But television replays subsequently showed that Walsh's strike had flown comfortably inside the posts.
After consultation between the match officials at half-time, the point was rightly awarded to Galway, and HawkEye was stood down for the second half of the semi-final.
With serious questions being asked about the reliability of the technology, the GAA then confirmed on Saturday evening that hawkeye wouldn't be used either the Dublin-Kerry clash or the preceding All-Ireland Junior Championship final between Kilkenny and New York.
A statement read: "The GAA can confirm that score detection technology will not be in use for tomorrow’s two games at Croke Park.
"A full review of the technology will take place in the coming week."
Kerry legend Pat Spillane, who has announced that this will be his last All-Ireland championship doing punditry with RTE, blasted the incident at half-time of a match Galway would go on to win 2-08 to 1-06 to reach the decider.
Spillane said: "This is an absolute joke.
"We saw with our own two eyes, it went between the posts. It was definitely a point.
"HawkEye is available in a couple of county grounds in Ireland, they are being paid huge money to get things right. This is wrong."
