Have your say on whether Newcastle United should sell St James' Park naming rights

Newcastle United CEO Darren Eales has pledged the club will not rename St James' Park without first consulting supporters over any proposed change.

The Magpies need to grow their commercial revenue streams if they are to be able to compete on the same level as the likes of Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea.

And one way this could be done is by selling the naming rights to St James' Park, similar to how Barcelona sold the Nou Camp's naming rights to Spotify for £250m this summer.

However, a potential name change of St James' Park could prove to be incredibly divisive amongst supporters. Newcastle fans will remember former owner Mike Ashley's incendiary decision to rename the stadium the Sports Direct Arena which did not go down well.

Thankfully, Eales has confirmed the club will consult with supporters first before any decision is made with regard to renaming St James' Park.

But where do you stand on the question? Would you be in favour of a change, or should the owners keep St James' Park's name intact?
