Have your say as Leeds United stars nominated for Fans' Footballer of the Year award

With 2022 coming to a close, it’s time for you to vote for who you think has been Leeds United’s footballer of the year.

It’s been an up and down 12 months for the Whites, following last season’s relegation escape and this season’s poor start, with the club sitting just above the relegation zone going into the World Cup break.

However, LeedsLive writers have picked out four players who have managed to put in a positive showing over the past year - with one needing your vote to become Leeds Fans Footballer of the Year for 2022.

Illan Meslier

Arguably Leeds’ most consistent player over the past 12 months, Meslier has been key to the side across both the end of last season and the start of 2022/23.

He produced several key saves in last season’s relegation battle and has seen his form improve further this time around to put him up there with the best in the league.

Rodrigo

The Spaniard hasn’t always been convincing during his time at Elland Road but this year has definitely seen improvement.

He’s scored 13 goals in 2022, with nine coming this season, placing him just behind Erling Haaland, Harry Kane and Ivan Toney in the goal scoring charts. Continuing this form will be vital for Jesse Marsch’s side if they are to climb the table in 2023.

Tyler Adams

A key summer signing, the American had big shoes to fill after Kalvin Phillips departed the club for Manchester City. However, he’s managed to make the position his own, putting in key performances against the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool.

The World Cup will no doubt bring more attention to his ability and Leeds fans will be looking forward to his return on Boxing Day.

Raphinha

He may no longer be part of the Leeds squad, but it’s hard to underestimate the Brazilian’s contributions at Elland Road in 2022.

Scoring vital goals at Brentford and Watford to name a few, Raphinha turned up when needed for Marsch’s side as they narrowly avoided relegation last season.

A standout season saw him rewarded with a summer move to Spanish giants Barcelona, as well as a call up to Brazil’s World Cup squad.
