PANCHKULA: Residents of sectors 7, 8, 9 and sector 15, Panchkula on Sunday again received muddy water supply in their houses. They said that officials concerned did not listen to their complaints and wrote a letter to Haryana Assembly speaker Gian Chand Gupta and Panchkula DC about it.
Kamlesh Sharma, a resident of Sector 15, said that when she opened the tap in her kitchen to wash utensils, she found muddy water coming out of the taps. She called her neighbour and found that they too were receiving muddy water supply.
Sharma said, “10 days ago, we had muddy water for a few days and now again we are having muddy water supply in our area. Despite complaints, no office is looking into the matter seriously.”
Lily Bawa, vice-president, Citizen Welfare Association said, “This is a serious issue and it should be rectified at the earliest as poor water supply can cause diseases.”
