Haryana: Man booked for raping niece in Yamunanagar

YAMUNANAGAR: The police have registered a case against a man (33), allegedly for raping his 17-year-old niece (sister's daughter) and trying to sexually abuse his other 11-year-old niece in a colony of Yamunanagar.

On the complaint of Preeti Jauhar, chairperson of Yamunanagar district child welfare committee (CWC), the police registered a case against accused Ajit under Section 6 () of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at Yamunanagar City police station on July 22, 2022.
