Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Tuesday expanded his Cabinet by inducting eight MLAs as Ministers, in which seven are new faces.
Mr. Saini was, last week sworn in as the new Chief Minister of Haryana after Manohar Lal and his Council of Ministers resigned, as the strained ruling coalition of the BJP and the Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) broke apart amid differences over seat-sharing for the general election.
Governor Bandaru Dattatreya administered the oath of office and secrecy to the newly inducted ministers here in which one has been induced as a cabinet ministers, while the rest were Ministers of State (independent charge).
BJP MLA from Hisar Kamal Gupta is the cabinet minister, who was earlier in the Manohar Lal cabinet aw well. MLAs – Seema Trikha, Mahipal Dhanda, Aseem Goel, Abhe Singh Yadav, Subhash Sudha, Bishamber Singh Balmiki, and Sanjay Singh were sworn in as Ministers of State – all are new faces in the Cabinet.
Last week, the Chief Minister had inducted five MLAs including an independent into the cabinet. The MLAs include Kanwar Pal, Mool Chand, Banwari Lal, Jai Parkash Dalal – all from the BJP and legislator Ranjit Singh (Independent).
