Harvey Weinstein was sentenced to 15 years in prison on Wednesday. On paper, it looks like a win, but in reality, it feels like the end of a very long, very painful road that should not have taken this long to walk.
This case started in 2017. It is now 2026. In between, there was a conviction, an overturned conviction, more than one trial, a dropped charge, and two women who had to relive the worst day of their lives again and again in front of strangers. That is not what justice is supposed to look like.
