NEW DELHI: Punjab Kings' pacer Harshal Patel made history by becoming the bowler with the most wickets in the death overs in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. This milestone was achieved during Punjab Kings' clash against Rajasthan Royals at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati.
During the match, Patel, aged 33, claimed two crucial wickets in his four-over spell, conceding 26 runs. Both of his wickets came in the death overs as he dismissed Donovan Ferreira in the 18th over and Riyan Parag in the 20th over.
