Harry Styles takes over from Ed Sheeran as richest UK star under 30

Harry Styles is the richest British star aged 30 and under, according to the Heat Rich List.

The former One Direction star, 28, who made his debut on the magazine’s annual list back in 2016, has allegedly made a staggering £116 million fortune, thanks to his top-selling albums and sold-out tours.

Styles, who has also carved out a career as a successful actor in recent years, takes over the top spot from singer Ed Sheeran, who is worth a staggering £260 million according to the Times.

Sheeran had reigned supreme on top of the list for several years but is no longer eligible at age 31.

While Heat is not the financial bible that is Forbes, the publication claims to comb through celebrity company accounts (where available), record sales, TV contracts and endorsement deals to produce an estimate of their lifetime earnings to date.

The Watermelon Sugar star’s fortune increased after the success of his third solo studio album, Harry’s House, which spent six weeks at the top of the UK charts.

His lead single As It Was topped the US Billboard chart for 15 weeks.

The star also had lead roles in 2022’s highly publicised films Don’t Worry Darling and My Policeman while bagging lucrative endorsement deals with top fashion brands such as Gucci.

Following the star in second place is Dua Lipa, with an estimated £69 million thanks to her hit second album Future Nostalgia.

She also had a successful world tour and endorsement deals with the likes of Versace, Evian, and Puma.

Model and actor Cara Delevingne moved up two spots from last year to third place with £63.8 million while Styles’ former One Direction bandmate Niall Horan is fourth with £58.4 million.

Crooner Sam Smith is at number eight with £37.8 million while Star Wars actors Daisy Ridley with £36.1 million and John Boyega at £28.8 million round off the top 10.
