Harry Styles spotted golfing in St Andrews ahead of Edinburgh Murrayfield shows

Harry Styles has been spotted working on his handicap as he enjoyed playing some golf in St Andrews, ahead of his two shows at Edinburgh's BT Murrayfield this weekend.

The British superstar was spotted on the infamous Old Course in Fife on Thursday, as he prepares to take to the BT Murrayfield stage on Friday and Saturday, reports the Daily Record.

Following his round of golf, the former One Direction star greeted fans who travelled to see him work on his putting range.

The Open took to social media with a video of the 29-year-old enjoying the rare sunny weather in Scotland. Harry can be seen lining up a shot in the video, before striking the ball with his driver all the way down the fairway, much to the amusement of fans and golfing buddies alike.

The Open wrote on Twitter: "This shot is going in One Direction. Harry Styles at the Old Course!"

Local youth group, Byre Youth and Community Arts also posted a clip of the star.

They wrote: "When @harrystyles is in St Andrews and your 12-14s drama class spend the first 10 minutes of class begging you to take them down to the golf course to see him!

"Harry, you're welcome up to our studio any time..."

The star, who is best known for his iconic dance moves on stage and unique sense of fashion as well as his singing, will perform in Edinburgh on Friday and Saturday.

However, Harry isn't the only former One Direction star set to perform in Scotland this weekend - as pal Niall Horan will headline BBC Radio One's Big Weekend in Dundee on Saturday.

Niall is also a keen golfer and has previously caddied for Rory McIlroy at the annual Master's Par 3 Contest.
