Harry Styles refused to deny One Direction could reunite, sending the group's fanbase into overdrive.
Rumours are swirling that Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, and Zayn Malik could come together again.
The group - who called in quits in 2016 with an indefinite hiatus - were rumoured to all be appearing on James Corden's final Late Late Show together.
That didn't happen, but his long-term pal Harry, 29, kept fans' dreams alive.
James was quick to quiz Harry on the speculation that they could all work together again.
Harry told James and guest Will Ferrell during the last ever Spill Your Guts or Eat Your Guts segment that he would be up for it if the others were.
"Yes or no, will there be a One Direction reunion?" the host said to wild applause from the Los Angeles studio audience.
"I think I would never say never to that," the As It Was hit-maker told responded to the host.
"If there was a time when we wanted to do it, I don’t see why we wouldn’t.”
It seems like at least one other member is up for it.
Sources close to Liam recently told OK! Magazine : "Liam is desperate to get back on the road with the boys, his solo career hasn't remained as successful as he hoped it would, and work has become stagnant for him.
"He knows he's somewhat fallen out of favour with the public, and believes the only way he'll be able to win back his fans is with a One Direction reunion."
There are rumours 1D could even perform at Glastonbury this year if they do get back together.
During a chat on the Spout Podcast, Grammy Award winner Harry also addressed the topic of getting the band back together.
“I’d love for there to be a time where it felt like something we all wanted to do,” he said.
"I very much enjoyed [the albums] and I think we all went through something really special together.
"There’s a lot of love there. So, yeah, I think if there’s a moment for us to do in the right way, I think it would be great.”
James recently opened up about his friendship with Harry, admitting that holidaying with the mega-star is far from what people expect.
James said: "I just think Styles is so special as a human.
"But actually, you don't have any of those feelings because... Like there is someone who wants to embrace the world they're living in, to the absolute best that he can and you never ever feel like that."
During a chat on Howard Stern's SiriusXM Wednesday show, Stern, 69, commented: "I don't know that I'd do well with Harry Styles and everybody in the f***ing resort is coming up and screaming his name, you know what I'm saying?" before asking: "Do you ever deal with that?"
"I think it's good for me," replied James before continuing: "I think anytime you can have a little bit of humbling is great so when someone comes up, I'm like 'I get it,' this is arguably the most desirable, famous man on the planet right now."
