Harry Styles left 'devastated' after being forced to cancel string of live shows

Harry Styles was left devastated when he was forced to pull out of a string of gigs due to poor health.

The chart-topping singer made a last-minute announcement to his fans via social media that he wouldn't be able to go ahead with his scheduled shows due to a persistent case of the flu.

Harry, 28, was due to appear on stage at The Kia Forum in Inglewood on Saturday, Sunday and Monday (November 5 - 7) at the 70,000 capacity venue but was forced to post[pne the shows on doctors orders.

The former One Direction star had already cancelled a gig in LA on Friday with the venue tweeting the reason for the event being called off was "band illness."

Harry is headlining for 15 nights at the iconic venue with the run of shows commencing earlier this week on Monday October 31.

He will now play the postponed shows in January 2023 instead of their originally scheduled dates.

Taking to Instagram to tell fans of his disappointment he wrote: "Towards the end of the show on Wednesday I started feeling ill and I've been in bed with the flu ever since.

"I've been doing everything I can to be able to sing tonight, but I'm leaving the doctor now and I'm devastated that it's just not possible."

Harry then went on to highlight how he had never had to cancel a show in his 12 year pop career until recently as he apologised further.

He continued: "Until very recently I haven't had to postpone a show due to illness in the 12 years I've been touring. I'm so sorry to do it, and if there was anyway I could do the show I would.'

"I'm sorry this news is coming so close to show time, but it was my sincerest hope to be able to play for you tonight. I know several of you have planned trips to LA to see the show, and it means the absolute world to me.'

"The shows on November 5th, 6th, 7th will be postponed until January 26th, 27th, 29th 2023. Everything else will play as planned.'

"I can't wait to see you then, and I'm so sorry. All my love, H."

Early last month Harry also rescheduled a show in Chicago which was planned for October 6.

At the time a statement from the venue released hours before the show read: "Out of an abundance of caution tonight's Harry Styles show on Thursday, October 6, 2022 at United Center has been rescheduled to Monday, October 10, 2022 due to band/crew illness."

Harry has had a chaotic few months with his worldwide Love On Tour shows and the release of his movie Don't Worry Darling with him juggling both the live concerts and promotional trail for the flick.
