Customers at a coffee shop in London were shocked when their drinks were paid for by none other than superstar Harry Styles.
Visitors to Kaffeine, which the As It Was singer called his “favourite coffee shop”, were told they need not pay as the bill had already been fronted by the star.
The publicity stunt, which was coordinated with Live Nation, was carried out to celebrate the 32-year-old’s recent expansion of his Together, Together tour.
Owner Peter Dore-Smith said he could not tell customers about the promotion on Saturday, September 12 ahead of time.
It was carried out at both the Great Titchfield Street and Eastcastle Street locations, which serve Australian-style coffee.
He said that he decorated the stores with Harry Styles posters and stickers, whilst staff wore ties to dress up like the artist, who visited one of the shops a couple of years ago.
"We put extra staff on, and on the day people just rocked up as normal," Dore-Smith told the BBC.
When confused customers questioned why they did not need to pay, staff told them that they had been bought by Together, Together, the name of the artist's tour.
Last week, Styles announced a 2027 run of the popular tour, which earned the Guinness World Record for longest residency by a musician at Wembley Stadium.
In a statement to fans, he said: ‘I love playing music, I love being with all of you and being a part of the love and joy you all create together every night. That’s why I wanted you to be the first to know we will be adding 2027 dates, which, honestly, at first I found daunting.
“Being an artist is the only life I've ever known really. I have been doing this since I was 16 years old, and I feel like the luckiest person in the world to still be sharing these moments with you.”
The star will perform 25 new dates next year, concluding with a final three nights in Wembley Stadium.
He will be joined by a series of special guests on select dates, including Kylie Minogue, LCD Soundsystem, Feist, Tears for Features, Tinashe and Lainey Wilsden.
