Attention Harry Styles fans - a Chester village is seeking experts on the singer to lead guided tours for fans in the area where he grew up. The village of Holmes Chapel was home to the As It Was singer before he rose to fame on The X Factor at the age of 16, eventually becoming a member of the globally renowned boyband, One Direction. Styles later embarked on a successful solo music and acting career.
The community group Holmes Chapel Partnership (HCP) has noted a surge in fans, known as Harries, visiting the village to pay tribute to the popstar. Last year, locals created a walking tour map featuring various locations associated with Styles, with over 5,000 fans having completed the route. The tour was established in response to fans risking safety to access Twemlow Viaduct, also known as 'Harry's Wall,' where Styles is said to have had his first kiss and left his mark during a 2013 biopic.
Other stops on the tour include the bakery where Styles worked before fame, his former school, and the Chinese restaurant where he reportedly dined with Taylor Swift in 2012. The HCP is now recruiting tour guides with a passion for storytelling, an interest in Holmes Chapel, and a love for Harry Styles. Candidates aged 16 and above are encouraged to apply, with tours set to commence in June 2024 on Saturday mornings, and additional weekday tours in July, August, and September.
To apply for the tour guide positions, interested individuals can visit the organization's website. Best of luck to all Harries aspiring to lead these exciting tours!
