Harry Styles cleans up at BRIT Awards and wins all FOUR nominated gongs

Harry Styles was the undisputed star of the BRITs last night, picking up all four awards he was nominated for during victorious night at the awards ceremony.

A packed O2 Arena became Harry's House as the 29-year-old took home an armful of statuettes including Artist and Album of the Year.

The former One Direction star opened the awards – presented by comic Mo Gilligan – with his No.1 single As It Was. The track later scooped Song of the Year.

Harry also won Best Pop/R&B Act, which is voted for by the public, to follow up on last week's success at the Grammys where he walked away with two gongs.

Ahead of his first award for Best Pop/R&B, Harry offered a stellar performance of his Number 1 hit As It Was, which saw him get up close and personal with his adoring fans.

Harry also sent fans into a frenzy when he thanked his former One Direction bandmates after picking up Artist of the Year.

He said: "I want to thank my family for being the most supportive, understanding, patient, loving family I could have ever asked for.

"I want to thank my mum for signing me up for The X Factor without telling me, so I literally wouldn’t be here without you.

"I want to thank Niall (Horan), Louis (Tomlinson), Liam (Payne) and Zayn (Malik) because I wouldn't be here without you either, thank you so much."

Beyonce, 41, won International Artist and International Song for Break My Soul.

The other big winners were the indie duo Wet Leg, who won the Group and New Artist awards.

This year's ceremony faced criticism because no females were shortlisted for Artist or Album of the Year.

But Beyonce and Wet Leg’s success, together with Becky Hill taking Dance Act and girl group FLO being named Rising Star meant females won six of the 13 categories.
