Harry Potter fans spot 'missing' scene from film they've 'never seen before'

An avid Harry Potter fan has blamed a 'Mandela effect' on the fact that she cannot remember a specific 'missing' scene from one of the popular wizarding films.

The magic fan, who goes by @kelsotellstar on TikTok, posted a duet of her watching Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, in which the original film cuts out a scene that she has playing. In the video, she blames the "mandela effect" for not remembering this scene occurring.

As the other schools enter Hogwarts to prepare for the Triwizard tournament, Dumbledore joins the four houses together to sing a melody from a floating sheet of parchment in the Great Hall. The video has been liked almost 200,000 times, and watched a whopping 4.6 million times on TikTok.

She captions the video: "I've got three copies of each Harry Potter DVD that never happened in it. Watch till end, when did Hogwarts sing??"

Thankfully, expert fans were on hand to clear up the confusion. One TikTok user wrote: "Mandela effect in the Film industry is called Directors Cut."

Another explained it clearer, saying: "It’s the European extended cut with deleted scenes. Not the Mandela effect."

A third wrote: ""Lord of the rings" & "harry potter" both came out with extended version with all the deleted scenes as part of 20 year celebrations."

More comments read: "Studio wanted the film shorter. So you are seeing the director’s cut which will have more scenes. It was in the book also."

While others said: "NEVER seen that before ever! And I watch Harry Potter religiously."

And one stated: "Everytime they play on tv they have deleted scenes that aren’t normallly in the movies everyone has seen."

More noted: "You gotta ALWAYS watch the extended versions same thing happened with I AM LEGEND as well. literally a whole different Ending!"

And finally, one concluded: "Why talk threw the whole song I want to hear it lol!"
