Harry Potter author J K Rowling said she was “so sick of this s***” after a transgender killer was referred to as a woman.
Scarlet Blake, 26, was jailed for life after being convicted of murdering a man as part of a warped sexual fantasy inspired by a Netflix documentary.
The killer singled out Jorge Martin Carreno, 30, as he walked home from a night out in Oxford in July 2021, before brutally attacking him.
Rowling posted a video of a news bulletin referring to Blake as a woman before writing: “I'm so sick of this s***. This is not a woman. These are #NotOurCrimes”.

The writer, who also publishes thrillers under the pen name Robert Galbraith, said “men defining what a woman is” was “real misogyny”.
She added: “Crime statistics are rendered useless if violent and sexual attacks committed by men are recorded as female crimes.”
Rowling has previously said she “absolutely knew” her comments and views on transgender issues would make Harry Potter fans “deeply unhappy”.
The world famous author has previously been criticised for her staunch views on gender identity, explaining she was partly motivated to speak out because of her experience of domestic abuse and sexual assault, but has strongly denied accusations of transphobia.
Stars of the Harry Potter franchise – Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint – have also spoken out publicly in opposition to her views on gender.
The court heard that Blake, who is being held in a male prison, had a “fixation with violence and with knowing what it would be like to kill someone”.
The murder came four months after Blake live-streamed the sadistic killing of a cat, Oxford Crown Court heard.”
