Harry 'not going to hang around' at King Charles Coronation

The Duke of Sussex is not expected to "hang around" at his father's coronation, former Royal butler Paul Burrell has said. Prince Harry will be attending the King's crowning, on May 6, despite his turbulent relationship with the Royal Family.

Wife Meghan Markle will remain in California with the couple's two children, Archie and Lilibet. Paul, who was Princess Diana's butler, said he expects Harry's trip to be short, possibly not even seeing his father Charles or brother William.

Speaking to GB News' Dan Wootton, Paul said: "It is not a surprise. He is coming to show face. He is coming to put his foot in the door. He is coming because his father wants him to be there, OK reports.

"His father will be delighted that both his sons will be there to witness this incredible day in his life. But Harry is not going to hang around."

He said the Prince could get an "icy reception" from the Royals, who he has not seen since the Queen's funeral in September 2022.

He added: "He doesn't want to spend much time around them. There is no chance of a reconciliation anytime soon, I'm afraid," Paul said. "I think he will get a very icy reception from the Windsors.

"He will be sitting ten rows back. He will not even see his brother or his father in that time. He will be in and out in a flash."
