Harry Landis of EastEnders and Friday Night Dinner dies aged 90

EastEnders and Friday Night Dinner star Harry Landis has died at age 90.

The fan favourite actor was most recently known for his character Mr Morris in the Channel 4 comedy, Friday Night Dinner. He also played a role in A Hill in Korea as a conscript and made a brief appearance in EastEnders as Felix Kawalski for two years.

His agent, Sharry Clark Artists, broke the news of his death with a post on Facebook. The statement said: "Sad news. Our lovely client Harry Landis has passed to spirit.

"Harry had an amazing career and gained a new following in later life as Mr Morris in Friday Night Dinner. It was a privilege to have worked with him as a client.

"Harry you will be sadly missed. RIP."

Following the news of his sad passing, his former co-star. Tracy-Ann Oberman, who appeared in Friday Night Dinner between 2011 and 2020, paid a gushing tribute on Twitter. She said: "Bloody loved #HarryLandis. I am so sorry to hear of his passing." A fan added: "So sad to hear this news. I loved him in Friday Night Dinner. Absolutely hilarious."
