Tottenham are gearing up to offer talisman Harry Kane club-record £400,000 per-week in wages if he puts pen to paper on a contract extension in north London.
Kane, who is yet to meet new Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou, is yet again the subject of intense speculation linking him with a move away from the club. German giants Bayern Munich are the latest club reportedly keen on landing his signature and the 29-year-old is thought to be open to the idea of plying his trade abroad, despite chasing the Premier League goal-record.
As Bayern's interest continues to linger, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy still harbours hopes of keeping Kane at the club and believes a new and improved contract could do the trick.
As things stand, Kane is not thought to have given any indication that he'll sign another deal at Spurs, but the club remain willing to give him £400,000 per-week in wages if he does change his stance and stay put, as per the Telegraph.
From Postecoglou's perspective, one of the most important tasks on his to-do list is to convince the England captain Spurs remains the place to be if he wants to win silverware while trying to guide the club back into the Champions League.
The recently-appointed Australian was pressed for comment over Kane's future and whether Levy had discussed the saga with him.

"I haven’t had any assurances and I wouldn’t expect any assurances, because when you’re dealing with these kinds of things you’re never dealing with definites or certainties," Postecoglou explained.
"I just kind of go along and try to concentrate on the things I know right now. What I know right now is that Harry is part of this squad and he’s looking forward to coming back to training and being amongst these players and starting to work together."
While Levy maintains hope Kane will stay, it is also believed he has softened his stance on a potential exit for the club's record goalscorer. The striker was once deemed priceless, but if the right offer came in for him Spurs could be tempted to cash in rather than risk losing him for free in 12 months time.
Bayern's most recent offer is believed to have been worth £80million including add-ons, but that figure is still expected to fall short of what Levy is holding out for before he gives Kane's exit the green light.
Postecoglou's comments on the matter, continued, as he added: “For me it’s in my head right now Harry’s on holiday, he’s on a sunbed and playing with his family and having a great time. If other things are going on I’m not going to think about it and the reason I don’t is because he’ll be here in two days’ time and everything I need to know will be sitting right in front of me.
“So, in the meantime, I’m not going to lose time or sleep on conjecture that may or may not be out there because then you’re jumping at shadows – how much of it is true? Nothing’s landed on my desk at this moment from anybody at the club to say there’s a decision to be made there. Not even close to that.”
